Mercedes-AMG C 63 will not be equipped with a V8 engine

Mercedes-AMG is a brand that is associated with adrenaline, powerful characteristics and terribly loud shots from the exhaust. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and this applies to the most powerful versions of the AMG. According to reliable sources, Affalterbach engineers are planning to gradually electrify their model line, and the first on the list is the Mercedes-AMG C 63, whose petrol V8 will replace the newest 2-liter m139 engine.

 Unpleasant news has already been circulating on the Internet, and it's no surprise that fans of the brand are more than outraged. However, it is difficult to blame the manufacturer, which is simply trying to keep up with the imposed standards of exhaust gases. The first in line was the C 63 model, which in its top version is equipped with a 4-liter V8 with a capacity of more than 500 HP. unfortunately, this order of things will only continue until the beginning of 2022,that is, until the new generation of the C-class.
 Then the 4-liter V8 will be superseded by the new 2-liter engine, the M139, which powers the compact AMG models, i.e. the 45 S and CLA 45 S. Some will say that this is a normal 2-liter engine, but in reality it is the most powerful four-cylinder unit that has yet been made.
